My (BIG) mutt loves the duckies! And chicks... He protects them all from the neighbor's dog. A psychotic (way too thin) German Shortharied Pointer who runs like a thousand miles an hour.

He'll tear out the door barking/growling/whining, because he likes her, but wants to save his ducks too. He's torn.

My pup'll sit by the duckling/chick brooder and whine to smell them and lick them all over. But he'll still chase our two cats every now and them, trying to keep them away from the ducks. He's a good dog.
