No change in the egg that pipped this morning, but the other 2 that pipped are now making their holes bigger and appear to be attempting to zip. If they hatch, I will check in the first pip.

Oh my luck!
The single remaining egg from Mississippi hatched. I should be happy....
I ordered 8 black eggs. She asked if I would take another color if she didn't have enough. I said blue/splash.
Received 8 black & 1 marked BS. None of the blacks even started to develop. All 8 we're thrown out as clear. The extra was the only to develop. It was the first to hatch (other eggs are from another breeder set on the same day)
We excitedly watched it hatch. Got a peek at the color. I think it will be splash. What blew my mind was the naked neck that popped out! I ordered silkies! . These are supposed to be breeding birds for my kids show birds.View attachment 1430254
I am not a fan, and we can't use in our silkie breeder pen. I am so disappointed.but it is cute -ish...Picture doesn't work... naked neck Silkies are apparently called 'Show-Girls'. I'm not a fan, myself, but a lot of people like them.
I believe naked necks and Showgirls are two different types. The show Girls have an extra line of feathers on their neck like a feather boa. Don't quote me though I'm no expert, but I'm learning a lot fairly quick.Picture doesn't work... naked neck Silkies are apparently called 'Show-Girls'.
