One thing I'm REALLY hoping for is that we won't see any (or at least not as many) situations where those AMAZON GIFT CARD popup / takeover ads slip through the cracks. No online advertising system is perfect, but I have high-hopes we'll see fewer of them.

That said, if you see any ads (especially on mobile devices) that are bigger than a medium rectangle and that take over most of the screen, popup, etc. please take a screenshot and copy the URL of the page on BYC where you saw the ad.

I was (probably one of the last) devoted Windows Phone fans for as long as possible. My last phone was on its last leg, so I had to make the choice, Android or Apple. I really didn’t want to get an iPhone on principle, but it’s what my whole family has, and with a new grand baby over an hour from me, FaceTime was the kicker to get a new iPhone, so I did it a couple months ago. I was pleased to find that almost all of the things I had dreaded switching from were still available! (Excel, OneDrive, better than average camera, etc) I wish i had made the switch years ago!

Sounds like the iPhone is working well then!

We will get there in the end!

My other half was like that with his Blackberry! Never thought he’d get rid of it He didn’t like the Samsung he got and now he does not like the iPhone No pleasing that man so goodness knows what he’s going to get next!
I love FaceTime too Good to hear it’s working out for you and you have not regretted the switch.

Lol yeah, it's a Galaxy S6. I mean, it's not terrible, I like it, and the issues have been spread like pretty far apart but idk, it just is having more issues now or is just like... annoying. Idk. Lol. Plus iPhone has GarageBand

That's very true! I think kiki was meaning the actual phone software? Which I usually update. Although browser version definitely needs to be updated too but I think it does that automatically?? Maybe not but I usually always do the updates for various apps in the Play Store too. I'm using Chrome. That said I do think I need a new phone soon. The battery life on this one is terrible. And with each update the phone gets other problems. I think they purposely try to get you to buy new phones. They jist released the Galaxy S9 in March so mine's getting pretty "old" in tech terms. Although I've only had this one since October since my first one didn't work. So it should still be working fine? Less than a year old. Although it is refurb. I definitely want a new one though but I'm debating between getting another Android or switching over to Apple. The camera on the Apples is incredible but I love all the Google apps like Gmail, Chrome, YouTube, Maps, etc. On the Android so I just don't know. Sorry, none of this is relevant to BYC, just rambling haha

You might like the Google Pixel phone.

I have ads on the main screen that move down as I scroll down and cover threads. I'd take a screen shot, but the last time I did that, my post was removed for advertising. Facepalm. This is on my laptop, by the way. Seems like a glitch that will probably get worked out, but thought I'd mention it just so it's on your radar.

Hmm... maybe there was some confusion about what you were posting last time? We have lots of screenshots posted in this thread without problem.

So, if you see the ads covering threads, post a screenshot with the link of the page where you saw the ad, and we'll look into it.
