Advice From Duck Experts..or anyone with opinion!

If they were mine, I would let them have regular supervised time together. The reason being you never know in advance when you have to segregate (injured, sick, broody, breeding, etc) one or a few from the others and it might be nice to have options as far as where to put them. And if they get along it will be easier to do so.

I was painting boards putside last night with very little light and 4 of the chickens hung out with me. I was surprised that they were cleaning themselves and eating bugs with it being so dark. They stayed put on top of the coop(I lvked them up when I was done for the night) but they did move around.

Really, all of mine are very still, actually the only time I can easily pick them up. Even Mr. Rooster can be picked up off the roost. I thought maybe they were night blind...

In a couple of weeks when the chicks are off this super grain and is free ranging I can bring them back together. Which is why I thought it best to let them continue to see each other. My husband is building a bigger better coop (I'm so excited), then everyone goes out into the pasture.
