Advice Needed *Not an Emergency*

I trim my roo's spurs. Keeps them doing as much damage to the hens, or to themselves. If they get too long they can get caught on stuff, make them awkward, and cause leg and foot injuries or difficulty walking.

I leave about 1.5 inches when I do them, but leave them blunt.
 
Unless he is attacking you, or mating hens and hurting them, you should not be concerned. Otherwise, you could trim them and wrap them in duct tape. That is what i do and it works great. Careful not to trim off to much, or else it might bleed (you can find videos on how to do it on you tube), if it does,pack cornstarch in it and watch him until it stops.
