2 of my Aylesbury ducks have developed limps, local vet confirmed bumblefoot in Peaches. We live in the UK, not very common here to have pet ducks hence the vet wasn't comfortable about performing the surgery and prescribed a course of anti-biotics for them both. They've been on the tablets for a week now and are both still limping. The lump on Peaches foot has a black scab on it, the lump has softened a little but is still quite large.
My question is - can anti-b's alone clear the infection and if so how can I tell if they have worked??
I've read in other threads about soaking their feet in TRICIDE-Neo, but can't seem to find it available in the UK.
Have been soaking feet in Epsom salts each night and applying anti-inflammatory cream!!
I've also read that bumblefoot can be fatal so I'm keen to get my girls sorted out - any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
