So I'm incubating an Easter Egger egg and a Starling egg :jumpy(Upon children's request, they found it in the yard) And I'm wondering how I'm supposed to candle it (The EE egg). I've never done chicken eggs before, just quail and the occasional Robin (Again, kids), so I'm pretty rusty. Is there something that I need to do differently for a blue egg?

P.S Also, point me towards a good egg candler. I lost my old one :)

It is difficult to candle every dark and blue eggs
Go for an LED flashlight in the neighborhood of 300-350 lumens. Take the glass lens out and the egg will fit down into the opening. A closet with no light helps.
I actually don't candle much because my eggs are too dark. I just do it to look for clears.
