Advice on coop design and chicken training

Right! I was thinking that nature’s instinct would kick in quick. Sounds like I gotta slow down a bit and show em the ropes. I will say that it seems any problem can get solved on this site with all of the experience here. Thx for the input.

With roosting, I know some folks like giving them all the time in the world to figure it out, but I'd rather they not sleep in their poop (and chicks raised by hens can roost as early as 3 weeks or so), so up onto the roosts they go!
