Advice on Hens Lump

Does anyone have any advice what the lump is circled in blue?

It has not always been there I don't think. Could it be from the cock bird. Advice would be welcome

That is a common area for a bump. Some may be caused by injury on a sharp feeder or fencing. Some are thought to be called by a papillovirus. It could also be from a peck wound. Could be be a common thing for the breed of chicken? Is it soft or hard, and is there a dark spot in the middle?

I will have a proper look at it today when I get up the garden and see whether it is soft / hard as well as look for a black dot

Thank you, it could be from injury. As when we first but them inside, they had been trying to get bird on the other side through chicken wire and there was blood all over. Obviously from cutting themselves on the wire.
