advice on wimg clipping please

We clipped ours, did'nt stop 'em from escaping a 4 foot fence, so now we let them free range.

Indeed, wing clipping on chickens or pet birds doesn't entirely stop them from flying in most cases, just limits their ability. Until they get strong enough to fly with clipped wings! (I found out the hard way on a parrot that they can do that!) It is helpful though, I have clipped ours, but they are also behind a six foot fence.
