Advice please! Maybe crop issue?

How is she doing?
Not as top heavy with coconut oil being fed to her!

I take a teaspoon of it and rol it in a ball then in a tiny bit of food and freeze it. And have my kids feed it to her. She wasn't letting us feed it to her so the tiny bit of feed seems to be doing the trick! Tons of water.... massaging it hoping it gives tonight:fl and she's able to empty it. If not back to massaging and oil treats!

Its been a while since your last post so I hope your chicken is back to normal! What you described sounds just like what happened to my goose a few months ago. The vet took some x-rays and found that she had a small hole in her air sack that was causing air to leak into her chest cavity. He had never seen it happen to a goose but he sees a few cases a year in chickens. He explained crop issues are usually hard to the touch but air in the chest feels squishy. He poked her with a hollow needle and squeezed the air out. It can keep happening for months off and on until they fully heal so even if your chicken is back to normal I thought this would be good info for you to know. He showed me how to do it at home and I had to do it a dozen more times before she healed.

Unfortunately we could not get the obstruction cleared, there was a hard ball after getting yeast under control, she passed away the night i was trying to find a poultry vet :( We think she got a hold of something pointy and it got lodged. It was a very sad day for us.

I'm leaving this up though so those having same issues can see...
