You be extremely careful for single liquids in their mouth because if you get it down the wrong pipe it will end bad.


Drop water by the drop on the side of the beak and let her swallow it herself.

Offer her water often.

I have been very careful, I dont want to aspirate her. I asked about a feeding tube but the vet said she was to little.

Are there any males? She might be broody

The presence of a male has no impact on making a hen go broody. If they want to set, they will do so whether they have been mated or not, whether the eggs are fertile or not and even whether there are eggs in the nest or not.

I gave her a drench dose. She only weighs 200grams....so thin. She is so weak and just sleeps.

Are you having a necropsy at your state lab to learn and inform us all what killed her?

I'd recommend a necropsy too. I'm so so sorry about Puff It sucks to lose such a sweet baby

Hopefully other chicks will help you get over your lost one. I got very connected to my chicks also. I have them since their first day, and they are like kids to me. Good luck with the rest of flock.
