aferican gander is sitting on eggs

I left 4 duck eggs in a nest to see if one of the girls would sit on them. At noon today went to check if anyone was sitting, and found my gander, Bill, sitting on the nest. My blue swede, Lulu, was quite aggitated. Seven hrs later he is still there. Is this normal? The goose, Hilary, will probally lay an egg tonight. It will be intresting to see what he does with that.

Idenity crisis sounds right, lol. The funny thing is the geese hate going in the coop. They didn't go in even one time all winter, -22 degrees and they slept outside in the snow. Now they won't let the ducks in the coop.

thats cute.. the males will share nesting duties and they will protect that nest with their life just like momma would...
