AFTER EGG BINDING

hello I have a 9 month old white rock named Mrs.Peckins and she was egg bound and passed the egg last night Thank God!!! I am wondering if I should give her calcium today. I have liquid blueberry flavored calcium its 1000 mg with vitamin D3 in the amount of 10mcg she eats a fixture of naturewise feather fixer and purina layena I did introduce oatmeal a few days ago with flock party grains and seeds and mealworms I think i have been giving to many treats She gets bullied by one of the hens so she gets her treats in a different area of the yard so maybe i gave her to many

Yes, it's wise to continue giving the calcium supplement for another week, even two, or until you see her eggs have normalized with a solid shell.

This needs to be short term therapy since a lot of calcium over a long period can be hard on the kidneys, risking kidney stones.
