Age/Sex?

Age: I was incubating and buying too many chicks at one time and lost track of how old these chicks are! Anyone have insight in to the age of these chicks? They would have been born sometime between Nov 25th and Dec 22nd.

Sex: I know most frizzles/silkies are hard to sex until they start laying but have heard there could be some key characteristics in silkie / frizzle male or females (any truth to this?!). Also, I believe 2 of the chicks are not only silkies and are a mixed breed which will hopefully help identify their sex.

Honestly no idea - #5 is the only one with a very red comb compared to his/her siblings, which makes me think that one is a cockerel. The others look like they should be hens.
They sure are cute!

I would say they are about 1 month old, maybe 6 weeks.
The only obvious cockerel right now is #5. The others you'll just have to wait and see.

Do you know which parent was the silkie in the mixed breeds and what the other parent was? Some silkie crosses are sex-linked, but you need to know which parent was which and the breed of the other parent.

#1 is female, and #5 is male.

A little early for the rest.

The others look to be pullets but not sure yet.

I'd say about 1 month old.
