Aggressive Male - Time to Cull?

Hi! I have a male coturnix I was hoping to keep for breeding/sentimental reasons. He's been living by himself the past few weeks due to a shortage of females. He is lonely and LOUD, so today I decided to experiment with putting my biggest and toughest hen in with him to try to calm him down a bit. He immediately started trying to mate her very aggressively and then started pecking at ME when I reached into the cage (which he's never done before). I pulled the hen back out because I was worried he'd scalp her and now I'm not sure what to do next. Is his aggressive behavior due to his isolation, and is it possible it will go away given time/more females/a more careful introduction of new birds? Or is he just a naturally aggressive bird that I should probably get rid of? I had plans to introduce him and a few other females to my flock once I've finished my larger setup, but things have been very peaceful lately and I'd hate to change that :) Both his parents were super chill so I didn't expect him to be so mean. Keep or cull?

Ok well you could try to train him take a water sprayer and squirt him whenever he pecks or whatever he does that you don't like but give him a second chance

I'm thinking he got overexcited and went a little overboard. One male can overpower one female, but if you put him in with at least 4-5 females they'll outnumber him and have a better chance of being able to calm down and behave. I think once he got it out of his system a little he might be ok, but keep an eye on him just in case.
