I recently got a new Royal Palm Tom who is 3 and therefore mature. I think he may have been king of his old flock but I don’t know for sure.
He is in his own run with a hen but each time I’m near the fence line and I turn away from him he charges me. Am I going to be able to correct this behaviour and become the top of the pecking order with him??
If so, suggestions on methods. Any other ideas are welcomed

Culling is the only positive cure that I know of.

I had a very mean royal palm tom a couple years ago who was also very aggressive. I would keep a broom with me to keep him back while I worked in the run. I never had any luck calming him down even with a few swats of a broom. The thing to remember is you can hurt turkeys very easily so you don’t want to really hit them. You can always try acting very dominant and intimidating when your around him and see if it will work. In my case nothing I ever tried worked and my Tom stayed mean till he hit someone’s dinner plate. Goodluck! Keep us updated if you find a solution.
