Aggressive Rooster - Best Rooster Breed

Pics
In my straight run of 20 jungle fowl, 8 turned out to be cockerels. Within the 8, there was a wide range of personalities. The most handsome was also hyper aggressive. Although he never attacked me, he killed other chicks and bullied all of them. He was culled.

Of the remaining cockerels the aggressive one didn’t kill, the one I picked to keep was the one that took an odd interest in me from day one. It would seek out my attention where the others would ignore me. I named him Raptor because he seems eerily aware of me and runs like a Jurassic Park velociraptor. I also selected to keep the one cockerel that got along with and submitted to Raptor. His name is Side Kick. They’re both doing great, although Raptor doesn’t let strangers near me for some reason. He won’t try to spur people but he will march back and to on their feet and try to block them with his body.

Point is, rooster personality is very individual and you may have to get a group of roosters and pick the one you gel with.

If there was ever a breed that seems to throw more human aggressive roosters than others, I’d say its barnyard RIRs. My personal RIR rooster was friendly, but I knew some RIRs that were monsters and truthfully I’ve never known an aggressive (free range barnyard) rooster that wasn’t a RIR.

I've had such a lovely run with my Silverudd's boys - they're polite and defer to the humans without being flighty. The hens are very productive, but the roosters are not all that meaty - although we've eaten quite a few (not because they were bad; because there were too many) and they did, indeed, taste like chicken! :)

I actually had a bantam Cochin that was aggressive, but he was shaped like a pompom with huge feathered feet and was completely unathletic so all he really could do was stomp around and try to threaten me. Pretty comical, really.

:gig
I wish that had been my experience! My Cochin bantam rooster was the most aggressive animal I've ever owned - of any species! He was a pompom too, but he had nasty, probably three-inch spurs on each leg. And if he wasn't spurring, he was biting. Not pecking, biting. I did not know chickens could bite until that rooster. This poor little, like, two pound guy was tough. He'd go for your legs and try to get you on the ground so that he could go for your face.

Needless to say, I am very wary now when people say so-and-so is an all-around super docile breed.

EDIT: Since the topic is on friendly roosters, I will add that I have the son of the super aggressive Cochin, and the son isn't that bad at all. He's charged me maybe twice, but ignores me for the most part - which is great, since he's probably eight pounds! My friendliest roosters ever were a pure booted bantam and a roo that's 3/4 d'Uccle, 1/4 booted bantam.

Oh wow, you are going to get answers all over the board on this one.
People are going to tell you about their experience with a single friendly rooster they own like Orpington or Silkie.
IMO, breeds that are aloof and skittish are non-human aggressive and friendly breeds will attack because they have no fear of you.
I've had over 30 breeds of chickens and have been attacked by a handful of roosters till I verified that they taste just like chicken.
I now only raise black Penedesencas. After about 100 or so of these roosters, not one has ever indicated an inclination to attack me. They are also very protective from predators. I even witnessed one dropping a hawk out of the air.
Some have met their demise by giving themselves up to save the flock being taken by coyotes and Siberian Huskies.
Here's what they look like.
