Aggressive Rooster, But He’s Not Mine

Don't make it "advice! If you feel threatened, make it a 'me or the roo' statement! If he is treating you in this way, you can be sure he is doing the same to others and the more he does so, the more confident he will get when doing it. It's not something that is going to work itself out. Ma has one that wandered over from her neighbors and is constantly trying to attack her. I don't plan to ask the neighbor if he minds! As in all things... Safety First!!!!!

Scoop him up in a net while doing chicken chores. If he's smart he will learn to avoid you when carrying the net. However, he will only become more aggressive and sneakier at attacking so be aware.

No, he does. But I’m the one in the family with “chicken experience”. He’s brand new basically. Every time I mention that the rooster is aggressive he says “No he’s not… awww sweet Solomon!” And everyone else defends him as well (most of which are clueless about chickens).
He may have to learn the hard way...
Until then, be extra careful around the rooster

Hopefully, if Solomon continues to worsen, or badly hurts anyone, your brother sees sense. The very least he could do is tend to his chickens completely himself so that no one else is put in danger

If I had a problem bird that I really wanted to keep for whatever reason, I wouldn't subject anyone else to that decision, it would be my burden alone to carry...

Practice this look for when the rooster disappears.

Cull the rooster. Does he free range? You can say that he ran off. Or was eaten by a predator. (That technically wouldn’t be a lie since you would have eaten him, therefore being a predator). When your brother is old enough to understand the danger that his rooster brought, then you can tell him what happened if you want. Or you could just keep it a secret.
However Solomon is killed, just make sure it happens. That is a big rooster, and you will never hear the end of it if he hurts someone who’s not in your family. Trust me, I know.
