Am I just being neurotic because I'm worried about my birds, or is this bird flu?

My hen:
  • Has a suddenly pale comb
  • doesn't lay
  • Wheezed once
Feel free to ignore me- she's active, eating and drinking, normal droppings.

The pale comb and not laying could be because of winter but the wheezing I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else can chime in and help your hen!

Can you post a picture of her? Is there any mucus from her nostrils?
Have you introduced new members in your flock?
Was she eating when she sneezed? sometimes it is because of that.

No sneezing, could have been stressed when she wheezed. They are in lockdown and no new arrivals.

Ops! Excuse me
So she wheezed only one time...I would observe her and look to the others too, to see if someone else shows the same thing. If she "yawns" often, you could think about gapeworms, but i can't have other ideas!
Pay attention at her comb: if there is some violet, it could be cold or some respiratory issue. Have you checked her for mites and lices?

shes in bed. Its cold here so not likely gapeworm and no Gaping in this hen Thanks for replying.
