AHHH his poo!

Being a minor myself, I can say that the “she’s just a kid” excuse is just not realistic. She could find ways to support her animals, and the fact is that it doesn’t seem like she is even trying very hard.
I'm trying, but, it's always "you have 5 min to check if the animals are OK then back inside " or "they are all fine" and people stop me from seeing my pets.

I agree as I am young as well
I was a minor 2 years ago. I haven't acted like this since I was nine years old and kept putting off cleaning my goldfish's filter. It got sick and died and I still haven't forgiven myself. I'd be running down the road to animal control myself before I'd let my animals be neglected like this.

If you aren’t allowed to take care of them longer than 5 minutes that is a huge issue. I suggest that you sit down and have a conversation with your parents about the level of attention the animals need. If not, it’s neglect.

Anyway he hasn't left this corner ever since he got his shots, dewormed and got his banded.

How would I go at the topic? How should I start? What should I say?

Remember, about two months back, when you said you'd talk to them about having more control over the care of your animals?

You oddly abandoned the thread after that.

Talking to your parents about it is another thing you keep saying you'll do and never actually do.

Something like “Mom, Dad, could we take like fifteen minutes to talk about the current situation with our animals? It’s become apparent that they aren’t healthy and taken care of the way they need to be. I’d like your permission to spend more time feeding, cleaning, and doing any other necessary chores for the animals to give them the best possible quality of life that we can.”
You could also talk about vet check ups and medical emergency bills…. Maybe you could make an agreement with your parents that if you do certain chores or something weekly/daily, they can cover vet bills. That, or you could ask if you can try to make some money or your own, whether that’s by washing cars, mowing lawns, etc, or get a job if you’re old enough.

I know I haven't been registered here for long, but I've been lurking for years...and I have decades with other animal forums. It really feels to me like the very nice people on this forum trying to help maybe don't have a very sensitive "trollometer." Some of these posts simply don't sound the least bit real. On any other animal forum I've frequented, the word troll would have popped up long ago. Hope that doesn't sound harsh...but a kid asks for help repeatedly and then agressively argues with everyone and escalates the worry to a degree that defies reality. My own trollometer buried the needle many posts back.
