Ahhhh Ive Rescued Some Battery Hens!*pics*

I am going to keep giving updates but tommorow you will be getting the last pics of them untill they look healthy and like propper chickens, just so i can see how shocked you's are, so yes you will still be getting updates on how thye are doing and if they have layed eggs, etc.

Im sooo scared. I never got up to see Flora and Ruby tonight because my friend was here and her brother died in the morning, and i totally forgot to go up!, i hope they have rather got in the shed or found some were to sleep. Im so worried for them if anything has happened to them i will not forgive my self

, what kind of owner am i forgetting about them.

They are about 18 months when I got them, the barn was getting rid of them and getting new layers. Mine laid about an egg every other day for about a year, then slowed down. Battery hens usually have their beaks trimmed so you'll have to watch and make sure they are getting enough to eat. They'll also need a lot of protein in their diet to help them regrow the feathers they've lost. Their nails are really long from standing on a caged floor so you might have to trim them so the hen can walk properly.

Panic over- I went up they were both in the shed im not sure if Ruby had left but Flora had because it looks like she got stuck in the bog because her legs were really muddy, i got 3 eggs off them aswell so proud of them getting backk in there. (if they even left)
