I expected to find her dead because i didnt see her staring at the wall like she usually is and then i went into the pen and saw her lieng infront of the shed
My dog ran after my hens the other day up the feild but my dog wanst doing it toget them he just got really excited and he ran up to flora and she just sat there!, shes goign to have to do abit better if a fox or something comes
I put my hens with a rooster and the rooster taught them a lot about dangers etc. I've learned to recognise the different sounds he makes to tell them there's a hawk or a dog and they respond by either running for cover or running back to the coop and we respond by running outside and chasing either dogs or shouting and waving our arms.
My girls took awhile to become proper free range hens, but over time instinct kicked in and they were fine.
