Any idea what did it? I just had my first predator attack tonight. The pullet was able to escape with only minor injuries but most likely culprit was hawk.
 
Not sure what it was. The most likely suspect is a raccoon, but we have a lot of predators here. Could also be skunk, opossum, or bobcat (they're not common but they are in the area). We set a trap with marshmallows so we'll see what's there in the morning.

No, the trap's been empty. The day after the attack I did see something in the road just past where we turn off for the coop. It was just far enough away I couldn't identify what it was, but the right size for raccoon or fox. I didn't have time to check it out at the time, and it was gone when i went back later that day. So maybe whatever it was was scared enough by the interruption that it hasn't been back. Or maybe it got hit by a car.
