We ordered some eggs online and had them shipped. We have just candled at day 16 and they are all growing and look great - except for one that has the air cell completely on the side of the egg (but the chick is alive and growing inside!). Can this egg develop and hatch or should we get rid of it now? Thanks!!

It could grow just fine but it may have a difficult time finding the aircell. You will need to consider hous much and at what stage you might be willing to help a hatching chick as you may breed to at the very least proved an air hole

I'd keep it. Just mark the air cell with a pencil and make sure that the egg lays air cell side up when it goes into lock down. This way you can watch it and make sure that the chick pips in the right spot. I actually had this happen about a week ago and the chick was the second to hatch and had no problems!

Awesome thanks! Here's a photo (not my egg but looks just like it - found it on google)

The chick has pipped externally! But it was last night, approx 8pm. We are nearly 20 hours now and it hasn't made any progress, I'm wondering if I should help her a bit??

It can absolutely hatch! Just place them air cell up when you start lockdown!
