I’m on day 20 of incubating my duck egg. Only one developed out of the 4 unfortunately so I’m very nervous. I’ve been having issues keeping humidity consistently at 55%. It’s usually 60% and then will drop down to like 25-30%. Where I live is very dry so I have to add water a few times a day. I started tracking the air pocket growth. Can someone tell me is this looks normal for 20 days?? Also, we go into lock down in a few days and i'm not sure how im going to keep humidity up without having to add water...

It looks fine to me.
The less you mess with it the better.

I also think the air cell looks in the normal range for day 20 of a 28-day incubation (I'm assuming these aren't Muscovy eggs).

What's your concern with adding water during lockdown? Do you have to open the incubator to do so?

I think so, that's what I've been doing. I don't see anywhere to be able to add water. But it also got the styrofoam on right now. I'll be taking it off for lockdown

To avoid losing humidity during the hatch, I use a sponge cut to size (I place pieces in different places, but one large piece would work, too) and wet it as needed by threading air line tubing (the clear tubing used in aquariums) connected to a medical squeeze bottle full of water through the vent hole at the top of the hatcher: squeeze the bottle, the water goes through the tubing an onto the sponge. I just have to be careful not to drip any water on external pips.

This method has worked very well for me. Hope you have a great hatch!
