i've been bahhumbug too. tree decorating with the kids? sounds like fun until you get started and all the yelling about touching this not touching that. something ALWAYS gets broken. wife gets mad. dragging all that crap up and down from the attic. watching the bank account drain all month. yea, i'm not "feeling it" either this year

You know, I'm hearing all my friends say that they're not feeling it. Is it the weather? Everyone is so bah, humbug this year.

I don't what the problem is either but this is the first Christmas in a long time where I feel like I am counting the days until it is over. We are so blessed, there is absolutely no reason for me to feel this way other than I might just be a little more weary of all of the commercialism this year.

I did love the Muppet Chickens singing "Joy to the World." That was awesome!!

I guess we're spared the commercialism. We don't have TV. I don't buy gifts, we baked cookies for friends. I did get some toys for the kids, which I can't wait to play with.. I mean.. uh..

Thomas has stripped the tree's bottom half from ornaments, but who cares? The kid is happy

Guess being a go-with-the-flow kind of person makes it all easier.

I haven't gone to any Christmas parade or party.. thought about it, but it's too much hassle. It's not like the littlest ones really care.

In semi-related news.. Does anyone know an ordained Santa? I need to get married before the end of the year.. and we thought about having Santa do it. We've been domestic partners for 4 years, so it's no big deal at all to us, just dotting the I's, crossing the T's kinda thing. Stupid health insurance wont let me be on the policy if we're not married

I got the marriage license ready to go.

That's kinda cool. Getting Santa to marry you. You could dress your kids as elves.
