I'm up in Florence and just came back from their co-op. Got 50lbs scratch for $9.10 and Layers are $10.50. Last time I got scratch down in Columbiana it was $18 for scratch and Layers were $14

Nice! I've been getting my feed in Helena at True Value.. just can't beat 100lbs of crumble for $25

My youngest two started laying a week or so ago. Australorp x BCM

My original flock is molting explosively. Overnight POOF half nekkid bird. Suprisingly my pullets I got this spring are molting too. I thought they usually dont do that their first year.

I get 4 eggs on a good day out of 13 birds. Most days it's 1, 2 or none.

Scovies are coming of age I think. The drake looks a little frisky. Maybe some ducklings in spring time?

Ooh scovies I love them!! How old are they?hens (hens=female ducks) usually start laying the spring after they hatch drakes are mature somewhere around 7 months I think
