ALABAMA!!

I've had "farm fresh" but never my own eggs.  Hopefully in three more months!   We're so enjoying the girls, it's like having a newborn that is growing a year a week...  :)

Question:  Would it be cool to have a map of all the active Alabama members (general locality, not addresses)?  Maybe even bordering counties from other states?

When u finally taste your homegrown eggs....you will have the urge to bust every grocery store egg.
And hey u can put me on your map. Im in Dale county

I was bad today. I went to TSC with my friend Linda and they had just gotten in a shipment of chicks. Now mind, I've got a small herd outside, plus chicks in the brooder, plus eggs in the bator (actually, those AREN'T mine, I'm actually doing a custom hatch for someone) but when I saw the little assorted banty babies, I just kinda went

. They were SO STINKIN' CUTE. I was doing a pretty good job resisting the urge, until I remembered the TSC gift card in my wallet that I still had from Christmas. Need I say more...

Anyway, I got 6. So far, it looks like 2 of them are mottled Cochins, 1 buff Cochin, 1 dark Brahma and 1 Salmon Faverolle. I haven't figured out the clean-legged silver chipmunk baby yet....anyone know? Some wing feathers are already starting to come in. Here's a pic:

The salmon faverolle is such a cuteness with the puffy cheeks and eyebrows!

The dark brahma is already a lap chicken:

Here they are with my 2 week old lavender Ameraucanas. They are already buddies.

I am hopeless. LOL

I am looking around trying to find anyone close to me in Perry/Dallas Co., AL. ( but I will also be making a trip to Montgomery next weekend both Fri. and again on Sun.) that might want to take my Buckeye quad 2-cockerels and 2- pullets hatched last year by Chris Mccary. I just don't have the incubator space to do justice with these birds and my Chantecler I also have 2- Cockerels and 2 Pullets that are from last spring. The one cockerel's tail is to long and their legs are to light. But they have thrown some nice looking chicks with the right tail as he is one of the cockerels I have in with a pullet and the pullets I had have great color in their legs and looked very nice. I am offering these birds to anyone that is interested in breeding them and keeping them to the SOP for free. If you are interested please pm me. Thank you
I am so focused on my turkey and even with three incubators going I cannot keep up.
My birds are all NPIP AI/PT clean and are in covered pens.
