ALABAMA!!

I know it's hard to believe, but the majority of the state is still under "moderate" to "severe" drought conditions. We really do need this rain, but it would be nice if it came down a bit more gently, and with less wind and thunder!
 
We have terraces that look like damms holding back water. The duck likes it but chickens are not. The goats haven't done more than look out the door since Saturday

Welcome to all the new people. If you want good quality, standard bred birds (Salmon Favorolles or anything else) I recommend you join American Poultry Association and network with the other members on breeder's stock. It is often best to get "seconds" or "culls" as yard birds and then replace them with good quality birds once you see that you like them and want to invest in a breeder flock of your own. I will help you navigate that world, if you are interested.
