ALABAMA!!

I have a question. I noticed some swelling on the neck area of my little chicks. I think it's where the crop is located. They are eating non-stop so do you all think this is normal because of that. I noticed it on several of them. Then I looked up some info on here and that's how I realized that's where they store food for digestion.

You know, Hicks, you just need to move on down here, it's 55 here today (COLD by our standards) and Alabama is playing in Tuscaloosa. The boys and I are fixin our tailgate food. Hot Mississippi State DOGS, LOL! It's heaven!

It's pretty normal for them to have nice full crops, especially since pretty much all they are doing right now is eatin', sleepin' and poopin'!
I personally keep a little bit of apple cider vinegar in all my birds water. My MawMaw said it prevents sour crop.

I called DW and told her to get rid of the chickens and call the realtor.

I love being able to take a walk in October and not freeze my butt off.

Hicks, year before last, I think our coldest night was 14 degrees and it was in the low thirties during the day. It's the coldest I ever remember it being. I was miserable! I hate the cold! That's why I live in the south! Anything below 55 at night and 70 during the day is way more chilly than I like. My ideal day is a sunny 85-90!
