ALABAMA!!

I think I've lost my mind too. I wanted to try the rare heritage breed "dorkings", so I placed an order for silver greys with McMurray and then purchased eggs from 2 additional sources.
So I have 11 silver greys
8 reds and dark reds
15 hatched from 1/2 red stock and 1/2 silver grey eggs

And now I've ORDERED an adult pair from a well know breeder in Oklahoma. I've lost my mind!!

Here's the oldest group at 9 weeks:

And the latest group hatched on Easter

Thank you both. So far I LOVE the silver greys as well as the hen pictured below. They are beyond friendly and being dual purpose (mainly meat) chickens, they feel like little bricks. The adults I saw in TN were very mellow and docile "proper" english birds *lol* Oh and HUGE. I'll find the link to the farm visit pics that I took and post it.

This is a very, very old breed dating back to the roman empire who took them into England when they invaded. Pre civil war, these birds were very common on the farms in the US.
They are fairly rare (good ones) but making somewhat of a comeback. Oh, and they have 5 toes and white skin.
