Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
Good morning Chicadoodles! Couldn't get back to sleep, so I thought I'd catch up on my reading. Like you, I'm waiting on a bunch of crowing to start. Seeing alot of character and comb changes now, about 7 weeks old.

I cant sleep either, been up since 2:30am. Just wide awake. Maybe I shouldnt have gone to bed at 9:00 pm LOL LOL. Oh well, it is suppose to be warmer today, thank goodness. I gained 6 pounds this weekend, really! I was cold and hungry!!!! I will loose it in about two or three days this week though, lots to do, lots to do!

I have the same problem trying to stay awake but can't stay asleep! lol I need to gain a few pounds. We have aot to do also hopefully this weekend it won't rain! Hoping to get all our chickens move into their coops!
I have been having trouble sleeping or staying asleep for quite awhile. But my roosters have not started crowing yet. Probably next month hopefully I will start getting some eggs then also! lol Our oldest birds are abt. 12 weeks old now.
Glad to know I'm in good company. Getting older sure let's you know about it when you're pushing the limit of the daily and extra chores. Me too! Always wondering am I about to fall asleep, again, or am I awake for the day? Then start thinking about all the things I need to do, should I just get up and quietly get started? Then, I'm out for about a 30 minutes. . . cat nap, back awake, starts all over. My best sleep starts about 7am, then up at the latest 8 am, and running behind. . .
My best sleep also starts between 6-7 for an hour! And yes thank God for patient DH's!Me too! Always wondering am I about to fall asleep, again, or am I awake for the day? SplashI got three white and a blue? Maybe splash egg was marked B/S. I have two eggs left in the incubator will give them through Wednesday.
