ALABAMA!!

Does anyone know where I could get some day-old chicks near Auburn? Our Feed and Seed store is out of everything but leghorn males.... I want some babies to put under my broody hen. I think her eggs aren't going to hatch and she's been sitting for over a month!

Is anyone from the decatur Alabama area? I am looking for some bantam eggs to hatch or some game eggs to hatch and everything I have found online are really outrageous money wise and I don't want to pay alot for eggs that might not hatch. I don't want to buy chicks that are already hatched because my kids enjoy watching them pop out of the eggs. I love to watch the looks on their faces when they do its priceless.

Would really like to hatch some sussex because them along with the wyandotte are some of my favorite breeds as well.

Wish I could help. Right now we don't have any bantams or game but if I find any I'll let you know. We usually do large breeds and right now have turkeys in the bator. Might start hatching out chicks again a little later in July. Have to see how the gals feel about that first. Might be too hot for them to lay much. We will see.
Good Luck and I'll look around some for you. Any special breeds you want?

I just love how small bantams are and I hear game hens make good mothers so I wouldn't mind having a couple. I have two rir bantams and out of all the chickens I have besides my wyandottes there my favorite. There like puppies when I go into the pen they jump on my shoulder its adorable. Thank you for looking for me and maybe I can get some help soon!!! Thank you!!

Deb, hope "our"turkeys are doing well!!!!!! I'm sending hatching vibes and prayers with them.....I'm going to have to do the "lay turkey lay" dance around those royal palms......I've got 3 orders waiting!!!!! I think last week's heat just did them in!

Oh yes they are doing great! I am going to candle them tomorrow and see how they are all doing:fl. Send all the vibes you can. Did you get the pics of the bramha babies I sent? I stink at sending pics through email. They are getting bigger. I might just keep them if no one wants them. I have an older light bramha and she is so sweet. If they all turn out like her that would be great but they seem more flighty than her. The welsummer pullet so so big now and beautiful. Cant wait till she starts laying. Even the rabbits have settled in and they are the sweetest group I have ever had. All they want is to be petted and loved on. It's too cute. I hope to see ya soon and with turkey baby pics..and even maybe pics of baby rabbits. Thank you again so much.

I have 3 pair of Wheaton Old English Bantams and 1 pair of Crele Old English Bantams, they are 2 months old, from show stock. If any of you Alabama folks need any, I am 20 miles west of Bham, I will take $3 each.
