The Tide Rolled!

And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is how you remove all doubt about who's #1 in the nation!

Three National Championships in four years; FOUR in four years by Alabama schools! It's a State Dynasty! I will (and you have no idea how out of character this is for me) share this achievement with the Tigers, because our state has a lot to be proud of! Congratulations to "my other boys" and a respectful nod to the Irish who showed that they are a class act.

Is it too early to say "repeat' for 2013?

The most wonderful thing about last night was not that Bama won...hold on, hear me out..... But it is that Bama brought so many families and friends together to cheer, snack, and just be together and be happy. I say this because I got to see my 75 year old father and my 22 year old son who just came back from S Korea (U S Army), have absolutley THE BEST time together last night. Thank you Nick Saban and Alabama football for making such wonderful memories last night. ROLL TIDE:lol:

My chicks are now almost 5 weeks old and doing great. They are feathered in I took them outside yesterday in our backyard and let them enjoy some sunshine and they loved it . At what age do you guys remove them from the brooder? We have a chicken tractor w/ coop for them that we just built . I made sure the coop is draft free and has a door that I can close at night to keep it warm and predators out. It does not have a light ( I'm planning on using one for very cold nights though ) They are getting so big they are outgrowing the brooder fast. I have been raising the lamp weekly to acclimate them to the temps and they have done great.

Are they truly fully feathered? No more fuzz? If they are, I would probably put them out but with a heat lamp. You want them to get acclimated to the outdoor temp and going from a comfy brooder to low-mid 20s overnight (depending on where you are of course) would be shocking for them. You don't need a light in the coop but a heat lamp until they are completely feathered and acclimated to winter temps is good.
