I'm west of Tuscaloosa.  I also have two Easter Eggers -- hope to add Black Copper Marans and perhaps a Cream Legbar or something that lays blue eggs.

There is a flea market north of Cullman in Lacon Al. every Sat. Nothing special about today except it is the first nice warm Sat. in a long time. I've heard of several folks going to sell. Come on out and join us.

It's in Lacon off exit 318 on I-65. Go past Stuckeys and it's down that way somewhere is what I've heard. Will give better directions after I go in a few...lol

What are you going to do with all those chicks?

The black coppers I'll be culling down for breeders, the blue copper/black copper,,,,,well, not quite sure yet!! lol I'll be keeping the best looking hens out of that cross, and maybe if I'm lucky I'll get a decent looking blue copper male, it looks like from the first 1 1/2 dozen that's hatched I'll have a few blues. I'm keeping the ones from the b/c that hatched out of the darkest eggs, and the others I hatch, I may sell. As of right now, I have 3 dozen in the 'bator, and 4 or 4 1/2 dozen more to set. AND I just ordered a dozen bcm eggs.

Oh. Forgot to add, I've also ordered 25 Welsummer chicks, so I'll hopefully get a decent rooster, and later on when they're laying I'll be selling chicks from the Welsummers. I think you've seen how dark those eggs are. Plus I've got one Maran hen in the egg laying pen that is laying THE most gorgeous dark egg, so I've got to find out which one that is, and I'll be hatching off of her and my best rooster. So I neeeeeeeds more pens. Oh almost forgot, will be getting another two dozen bcm eggs from another breeder who has been working on type and egg color a long time, so I'll have that line also. Yeah,,,,,chicken math is seriously setting in here.
