I hope everyone else has been doing well and all this rain isn't flooding out anyone.
I put 49 out of 70 in lockdown tonight. I heard peeps and had one pip as I was looking at it! These are the petting zoo ladies and even if half hatch, she can do her Easter gig with two dozen chicks. They will hatch tomorrow and Wednesday, then be three days old for the event. I think she will be fine.
I still have shipped exhibition quality Ameraucanas in the bator, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them.They go into the hatcher on Wednesday.
Whew, what a crazy month it has been at my house! I won't go into it other than to say I am glad it's over. Also glad to report all my feather babies are happily living outside in our coop, which my husband and kids made. It looks great too, I will be posting a photo once I can get them to load to my computer. All 14 of them are loving it--except when the chickens try to get into the ducks water hole, then the ducks get mad

Due on Sunday.. not sure if she has any plans to make an appearance. I have been 1cm since last week Monday... no change in a week time. I really expected to have some progress.. I did gain 3 lbs in a week and she's measuring at 40 weeks (38 weeks last week! Growth spurt?) Ofcourse, part of the weight gain is the fact I am starting to swell upBlood pressure is still perfect, so the Dr isn't too concerned with that.. Isn't this fun? My kids love me so much, they don't want to come out..... we had to evict my son previously. Hope this one wont play the same game. We're having an ultrasound Thursday, to make sure she's not getting huge.. will make a decision next Monday, if she hasn't made her arrival by then. Eviction will depend on if she's huge or not. If she's not too big, we'll let her cook a little longer.
I know I am getting really antsy.. got that whole nesting panic going on and my body says "Nope". Between my legs swelling and being out of breath all the time, there's no way I can do much. My dear son is starting to get really clingy (and moody... and tantrum-y), he can't talk and he doesn't understand us too well, but he knows something is up.
I swear, this is the last one! Chicken math is a lot easier than baby math.
