Any ideas on where I can get some turkeys? I have 2 pieces of fence left from the coop and was thinking about getting some turkeys and raising them instead of buy store next year?

When's the next time you'll be down my way? I'd be happy to take him. Dad'll kill me, but I could just tell him it's a hen that crows. My poor silkie, his time is up. He started to crow and at 5am this morning.
HI! I was so excited that you lived in Florence LOL. Haven't meet to many folks around me. I live in Muscle Shoals. Is your Roo a friendly type of a guy?!?!?! I am working on getting my Barred Rocks and Game hens to like me. I honestly don't know what I would have to do different with having a rooster. Would it be stressful for the girls?Hey Jenn,
It's almost too late to be finding any young Turkeys this time of year but I was over at the Crump Flea Market just past the big bridge on the other side of Savannah about a month ago and there was a few of them there then. (Weekends) Cant guarantee any will be there now but it's worth a shot if you're wanting some. I got 12 Quail there and sold some of my extra Silkie chicks I hatched. They got all kinds of critters there. (chickens, turkeys, ducks, quail, guineas, peacocks, doves, pidgens, rabbits, goats, pigs)
If you are wanting a Roo I have a RIR/Buff Orph Roo I would give you if you want him. I'm thinking he's about 6 months old but I can't remember when I hatched him out.

I'm sure it's a boy but even if it's a hen that crows it would be meeting the same fate.ive read quite a few posts about silkies crowing and then laying an egg.
Glad you got your quails.Hey Jenn,
