Stumpy, I'm really interested in visiting that waterfowl farm in Huntsville, too. I followed the link to their website and couldn't find any information about where they are located. how did you find out they are in Huntsville? How can we find out WHERE they are and if we can visit? It sounds like a neat place!

Hi, Angela!

I am in Buhl, too! I live north of Hwy 82. I don't have any of the breeds you are looking for but I'm glad to see a neighbor on this site. Welcome and let me know if I can help you.

Hello - I'm new to this too... i live in hoover,Al and have just begun my chicken journey with 13 coronation Sussex chicks, they are 61/2 weeks old now... they have all been healthy and come from Greenfire stock...They are supposed to be super friendly, even the roos(so far so good) and are supposed to be great layers too, anyway i think i have some roos and since i live in the city i just can't have them... looking for someone who may need one that will love him and not eat him or use him for fighting...Makes me cry. So since we're so close maybe you'd be interested. Blessings, Stephanie

Hi, Twoscrambled!

I have extra roos myself but maybe someone else will give him a good home. I recently gave a SLW roo to a member in Washington County, we got in touch with each other here on this thread. Good Luck!

Another Alabamian here. Near Birmingham. This is a great site! Anybody here near Bham know of the best place close for chicken supplies/feed?
Hi - i live in hoover... i know of a couple of places...would be easier if you called.... 427-2502 Blessings, Stephanie

Okay, I have to say this on the thread. I am worried about those of you posting your number online. This is a friendly site and the vast majority of people are wonderful. It IS, however, the internet and we can't control who accesses this. I fear a whacko will get it and you will have issues...... just at thought. Personal info is best left to PM's, if at all.

Hi Angela,
I am in the Samantha area, up Hwy 43 N. I raise cochins, rosecombs, and silkies. I don't have any adult stock right now, but should have a few available later.

Would like that info too. Chicks are growing really fast and they eat like a PIG!! Been getting their food at Walmart. 1st 5lbs bag lasted about 4 weeks. 2nd 5 lbs bag last 1 week.
