I didn't get into sports until I started loving the state of AL. I was bummed too.

Went to a Neighborhood watch meeting with DIL. Can't believe the crime here. The Lord must really be protecting us back home. I pray for the folks here.

Seems to me most folks don't steal out of need. Just greedy.

Here as in Alabama? Really? We have pockets of high crime areas, but mostly we don't have a big problem. (?)

There was a sharp rise statewide after Katrina, but the bigger city's always had a high-ish crime rate. Ive been here since 04, moved around the state quite a bit. The more rural you get the less crime there is. (my thinking is even the crooks know country folk are armed and in this state we aint afraid to drop you on the lawn like a bad habit).

Well they recently had a shooting here in the near neighborhood. Guy got drunk and walked into the wrong house. The lady shot him, but good for him her bullets were old and they didn't do any major damage.

I don't suspect they'll have much to worry about in Canada/Manitoba since it seems to me it'd be too cold to go out to break into someones house.

I still love Alabama just the same.

Does anyone have any large fowl hatching eggs for sale? I haven't quite decided what breeds I want to add to my flock but I know I want them to be local. Shipping is too rough. I want something a little different and preferably non hatchery stock. Just curious what's out there. Thanks.

Every Sat. Here in the Millbrook area is a chicken auction. Not sure how far you are from here but you might find some eggs there.
