once saphira got high enough she looked off into the distance and could just start to see the peaks of the seven mountains of eragon's island, she dove down and landed in the water, it was easier to swim than fly. she needed to rest and so swimming would allow her to rest her wings, she swam silently using her tail to propel her along through the water quite gracefully, swimming smoothly through the slightly warm water. she looked over briefly at shark and felt her face get warm, she quickly looked away and continued swimming.
 
"Don't go above the clouds, Saphira!" Demeter shouted. "I didn't remove the wind, I used heat to push it over us!"

Phoenix Smiled at Windstorm and said, "Come on up." Then he looked at Shark and narrowed his eyes. "You stay away from my girl."
 
An enormous bolt of lightning suddenly shot down at the group, but bent and went in a different direction before it got near them. "I sure am glad that you control fire and lightning," Angravel said. "Otherwise we would be toast."
 
Greer relished the storm. It was a night like this when he and... snuck away from the island. He stayed low to the water occasionally stopping on top of the water.
 
Another, smaller lightning bolt came down, but instead of deflecting it, Demeter made it land on her palm, where it turned into a ball of energy, which she put into the jewel in her sword and into the ring she wore on the middle finger of her left hand.
