Alexa smiled, knowing that at 12:00 sharp that night, she would be 16. she didn't have plans for celabrating her birthday, she usually didn't.

Maria and Gwendolynne, finished with their meal and still not quite comfortable around all the others, changed into cats to take a stroll together. "what do you think of Windstorm?" Gwendolynne asked Maria. "she's nice... it was a little weird she wouldn't hand me over to Arya, though." Maria meowed back. "Alexa was so cool... i wish i could be that good at riding a dragon. standing up on a dragon's back... in the middle of a storm... have you thanked her yet for risking what she did to save you?" Gwendolynne wondered.

Windstorm, finished with her pork and getting sleepy, curled up under a tree, her tail wrapped around her. she slept, dreaming of Pheonix and Snagli. P)

"no, i don't believe i have!" maria said, surprised at herself. Gwendolynne stopped walking and looked at her. "really? i would have thanked her a long time ago. she's the only one who trusted us, anyway. that's probably still true, she's probably still the only one who trusts us. did she have to put up with all of this untrust when she went on this journey, too?" she pondered. Maria and Gwendolynne had reached the mountains. "shall we go explore them?" Maria asked. (Maria's real name is Marianna, but she profferes Maria. some people that know her call her anna, but she doesn't like that as much as Maria. Gwendolynne doesn't really have a prefference. she doesn't mind Gwennie, Gwen, or Lynne, either.)

Alexa decided to give Arya some privacy to speak with Eragon, so she sat on a nearby boulder to sharpen and polish her daggar.

arya sat down infront of the boulder and said a quick spell to fill it with water, she told eragon of their progress and then bid him farewell ending the spell.
arya walked back to where alexa was, "sorry i was gone so long (bout 30 min) but i needed to discuss some things with eragon" she said looking up into the nights sky to judge the time "we should get back to camp, everyone needs to get some sleep before tomorrow's jurney, the flight from the second island is the longest" she said walking towards camp.
