Elizabeth, I have 3 blue Orpington pullets left in the brooder, ~ 8 weeks old. Those are the last 3 until spring. They're housed without extra heat right now, but have not been outside yet. With a draft-free coop and a little body heat, I'm sure they'll be just fine transitioning outside within the next couple of weeks.
Jeanette, I have 2 BC Marans pullets left in the brooder, same thing... ~ 8 weeks old, yada yada. As I said before, these are not (that I can tell) up to the standard... I don't see any coppering yet, though it still may come in). I will be switching up the first string lineup in the Spring to see if I can't fix that.
But those are the last two youngsters until Spring.
Elizabeth and Jeanette, you are the last two to get in on the chicken train.
Let me know if you're still interested so I can scoop them out for you.
Oh, and while looking for the blue orps, I discovered a chick that looks like a blue orp pullet, but she has a pea comb...

Ok... I'll try to get a final head count today. Aimee and Donna both wanted to add one of the PFW Ameraucanas, but they're little.
Just putting this out there... if I were to make a road trip on Friday, how many people could meet me in either Wasilla/Palmer or Anchorage? I think we have people in Palmer, Wasilla, Eagle River, Chickaloon, Big Lake...
I have a truck, and lots of kennels... and I have a friend that's been teasing me with MoosesTooth and I think she owes me a pizza!
Think about it... since PFDs come out tomorrow, I'll be able to afford a full tank of gas.
If you're headed this way, count me in. Just let me know where to meet up!
I just talked to Tracy. She has a boat load of boxes and says she has plenty of space to carry what's on order as well as a few more if you don't want to use the gas right now, since we are going down there anyway. Either way us fine with me. Just let me know. Tori, put Tracy down for a peach faced Americana.
That's wonderful... I just had the squeeze put on me for a data report, so I will likely need to stay glued to the computer on Friday anyway. Thank you Carmen. You and Tracy are awesome for doing this!
Here's what I have so far:
(5) Donna - yellow - 2 silkies, 2 BCM, 1 PFWAm
(3) Bonnie - blue - 2 Sexlinks, 1 white silkie hen
(5) Aimee - pink - 3 BCM, 2 PFWAm
