Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

It's about 72% now, but I'm not messing with it anymore, I'm sure it will lose some as the night progresses.

Now I need to ask, how long can the baby be in there alone if I need to leave.... for other things.

I'm assuming today is day 18? You're looking at another possibly two days before it hatches and then they
are fine in the incubator for up to 3 days with no food or water. It's good practice to leave them in there for at least
24 (or overnight) hours so that you make sure it's completely dry. I take them out and then fluff them up with a soft towel.
You guys might want to think about putting this little one in with the new guys headed Donna's way, that way it has someone to keep him/her company. Just an idea.....

Donna said it should hatch on Monday. Yes, today is day 18.

Once it hatches should I pull out the sponges and paper towels?

Donna is going to bring me a couple chicks to keep it company

Those little guys are SO cute!

I'd just leave it be until you decide he/she is dry and take it out. Once it hatches though you'll want to
make sure all your plugs are out if they aren't already so that there is some sort of fresh air exchange....

That was certainly interesting trying to figure out who is who.....Most of them we had marked but that last one #9 was a doozy...they looked just like the dark cornish!
