It's official! After a bunch of back and forth "stuff" with the TSA I have officially got a letter in my hand
that states we MAY transport hatching eggs on board the planes as carry on. However, it is still up to the TSA agent you
deal with whether or not they allow them on board with you.
Of course there are some hoops.....
It is a VERY interesting letter, if you would like to read it I would be happy to forward it on. It also goes on
to say to contact the TSA manager for the departing airport before you get there just to be sure they have
a heads up etc........It is also advised to contact the airlines to make sure they are also ok with you carrying them on board.
Oh sure! Thats a good idea since its a PDF......I kept getting letters back that did
nothing but quote their website, canned messages and no straight answers..... It's good to know a little persistence paid off...if just a little!
I blocked off my private information for obvious reasons
LOL! Having raw eggs could precipitate a food fight!
Thanks for sharing, and your persistence. Doesn't seem like it will be that big a deal. Pack them REALLY well, and they can go in check baggage, too... Charlie has done that for me.
It sure shouldn't be but its the dreaded 'egg bomb" threat you know. The whole thing is ridiculous. They probably allow it if its boiled!
How's the little one Deb? We will be coming that way tomorrow (for the fair) and the next day also (for Flambeau) , but we can get together for the girls whenever it works out for you...
Oh she looks great! What a sweetie!
I'll check back with you then about the girls. We have to go to Eureka today, unexpectedly. This is going to be a week. Hope you are recovering from your dentist visit!
