I will do that. (If my brain remembers and I have time) It's ONLY the birds I got from Triple D that I'm having troubles with. The ones I got from Donna are fine AND the ones that are NOT Cornish Cross that I got from Triple D are fine too... Maybe these few chicks are just TOO gluttonous to handle their weight gain and it has NOTHING to do with feed??

Well that would mean that the 5 Dellies (hatched by me not Tony and not cornish cross) that are sitting here recuperating from curled and crippled toes is a
figment of my imagination?

Maybe it is just a coincidence but I don't think so....

Heehee!! Might be a figment of your Newton!!!

Actually it IS strange because only my CCs are having troubles, even the Sexlinks, which are growing rapidly, are fine... IDK!!!!!!!!!!!

However, my CCs don't seem to be recovering

Yea my babes are bouncing back pretty good. I know the state Vet had tested all the birds that have died and has ruled
out Mereks....so it's safe to say its not a virus. Jim is convinced that the food is contaminated in some way...we'll just have to see. Ken
said he would keep me informed if he found anything new out....

I haven't had any of the problems, and get my AKM&F feed from Save-U-More on K-beach road. Could be that by giving them vit/electrolytes from the git-go, I've managed to by-pass it. But someone brought a chick to me today that has the curled toes, yada yada, so I know what it looks like. I've got it on vitamins now, and massage the feet to try to get them to work again. I want to see if I can bring it back. Otherwise, it's fine.

Could your feed be some of the older stock?

I bought 14 Cornish Crosses from them just before I found out about this. I've lost one and there are two more than are in the same condition. Donna helped me out with some immediate vitamins and electrolytes and I had hubby get me some new food the next day... hopefully they will pull out of it.

TIA - all my chicks are 2-4 weeks old right now and living in the bottom of an old, dead chest freezer

That freezer is a big one and a really nice set up for the chicks. I knew someone was going to ask that!
