I know they're not "pets", but it still makes you feel like poop because you did all you could for them. How old were they?

Oh man... He was going to just be my buddy...I didn't INTEND to raise bunnies...But they are so beautiful. Now see what you've done!

Just letting you know what you have in his background. If you decide to breed you have different options you can
go with. Lots of people don't like white, but little do they know they can get other colors with some thought put
into their breeding program...

Oh I do like the whites very much. It's that " what babies might you get?" thing you know? I know how addicting the chickens are!

They were 6 days old. My daughter, bless her heart, brought me the first stiff chick and said, "Mom, is this chick dead?" I wish it had been me that found it.

Oh no! Poor thing.

For one minute, I thought you were talking about the Sandhill chicks. I'm thinking, 6 days?!!

Here is little "Gooey" and "Maude" (I hope).......
Gooey is doing wonderful and is just as crazy as the rest of the chicks now.....

You would think after all this time of being handled she would be a bit more human friendly, nope, not her....she has nothing to do with me! lol...

Aww, they're cuties!
Gooey looks like a chick with 'tude!

Deb, have you talked to Ash lately? She hasn't been on here in a while. Hope everything's okay.

It looks like I have 5-6 roos in this 2010 flock. 3BCM, one EE(not sure), one BBS Orp, and one BLRW I hatched. I may need to buy some pullets to replace these, as I can't keep them all. I'd like to get older chicks at this point.

Thanks Aimee, I think they're pretty cute! I wish I had more, but that's ok.....the three will do fine as long as there is at least one pullet.

I wish I had girls to offer you. I only ended up with 4 so far out of all those I hatched. (one of them is black)........Those last two? Were they roos?

I heard from Ash yesterday, she is alive and doing good, just crazy busy with all her chicks. I am headed into town today, going to Krazy Moose (subs) at 1, then Im headed to Triple D to get
two more Ancona's and two more guineas. The more I read up on those guys this should be a fun adventure. Maybe we'll have one less neighbor or two if I get more!

Of the last two I believe one is a roo. Then two I hatched I think are roos. It's so hard to tell this early.
Did it look like Anthony had any older laying breeds when you were there last?

I only saw a few fluffy headed things that were older...I forgot their name. Russian Spitzensomethingorother? lol......(I apologize to those who have them)
