Beautiful dogs Deb, and cute chicks. It is still coming down here. Is it raining where you are Tomboy? We are having powerful thoughts about rain in that direction. Drown it OUT!
I talked to my brother in law today about these fires. He is a retired Fire Chief, and that was scary.... so rain is good.

Ok so Im walking around here driving myself insane (yes, short drive). Today is day 18 for my broody!!!! Do they have a day 18 for themselves?

She has some sex link cross eggs and 4 BCM eggs under her...

I love the fact we are getting loads of rain here, but I sure hope it clears up for a day so I can sit out there and watch them.....

Just got my replacement shipment from Ideal... out of 15 chicks NINE are dead or dying (they won't make it, they're gasping) and only 6 will survive, which are the packing peanuts... they are all EEs and that's fine, but not the point.

Not gonna be ordering again thru the mail, I can say that! Gotta figure out a different way to get the ones I want, and now, that's gonna wait til next summer.

I had fantastic luck with Welp and Mt Healthy this year. Mt Healthy sent theirs on the 19th, they were here the 20th (not one dead)....Welp sent 175 meat birds to us the 19th and they were all here
safe and sound on the 21st. We only lost one of those and that was my own fault......Don't give up!

Could it be that they are coming from SO far away? Ideal is in Texas... where those two hatcheries?? I HATE that these babies are dead this way... I meant SURE they're going to be eaten, but DANG!!
