We do have 3 Bears... in Kenai. I haven't bought from them in over a year, because I usually don't go that far, but last year when I priced them out, they were always more expensive than Save U More. I also have an "in" with the feed buyer at SUM

Here are the two little Wheaten I ended up with, the little one is darker, think that might be a way to sex them? I think their foot feathering looks beautiful!!!!

I got my replacement BLRWs and they went in the incubator with the first ones last night. I will candle tomorrow and see if any of the ones in the box that had damaged eggs are goers. There were 3 that weren't cracked and 3 that were under candle but I waxed the cracks and put them in anyway. Nothing to lose!

These came perfectly though, so here's hoping. I won't forget the rooster Tori!

I wonder if the immediate switch was to hard ont hem, and they just did not process it well.
I think its a good idea when changing food to do it gradually.

We even fed fish to our meat birds last year, and the meat was fantastic.
Trick with that, is to make sure to not feed them fish in the last two weeks.
Or if you do, its just bit for a treat.

I'm sorry, I just assumed

Ok, Dh and I just looked over your hatchery site.
We have been wanting to get either Delawares or Dorkings, so that we could have our own in house meat and egg birds, of which we would do our own hatching.
We are trying hard to be as self sufficient as we can, and Cornish X cannot do that for us.
Plus, trying to run two seperate breeds on our 1 acre is problematic.

Any suggestions as to which breed would be a better fit?

I have 3 of Tori's Dellies (she hatched me chicks in November) and they are sweet birds. They look like they will also be big. I have always meant to get some Dorkings from her sometime too.

I'ts ok, Paula, I think I was a little testy lastnight. I'm sorry!

I love the little emotion-con hiding under the chair though....I need to go find those! lol

I agree, I LOVE my Dellies. Im not sure where my girls originated from, but I wouldn't have them if it wasn't for Tori. A friend of ours had them in Eagle River....
