What color of Orpingtons do you have? I have Blue, Black, Black Lavender Split, Lavender, Blue Lavender Splits, and Splash. I love my orpingtons, they are so beautiful! Wonderful birds to have around.

WW, I would give Quartz some plain organic yogurt, with a little oatbran or ground old-fashioned oatmeal stirred into it. If she's puking up whole corn, she's definitely blocked up. The yogurt, oats and maybe a little cod liver oil to make it into a loose slurry and let her eat that. It should lube, add some good bugs, and nourish all in one.

But not a lot... just a couple of tablespoons at a time, and mix it fresh. Trust me... you do NOT want to open up her crop if you don't have to.

That means my polish is probably a girl...I hope,,, I'll take pictures. I am presently almost out of avian I was going to reorder, but after hearing WWs problems I probably won't have much luck!

I figured that about the Polish ... oh well, hopefully he behaves himself!

I don't think we have any yogurt on hand... that's why I was using the bread and oil... we'll see how it goes tomorrow, we weren't planning a trip to town til Friday.

Sorry to hear Quartz isn't doing well, WW.

I moved 3 (shipped) Barred Rock eggs to lockdown last night as I may have to run away for a bit today and didn't want to have to move them late.....since today is actually day 18...should hatch Saturday if they are doing ok, I couldn't see any movement but there was a definite dark area in them.
Candling light was dimming so I guess I need a new bulb or something.

says you can even fit a webcam to it...that would be neat.

I am looking into a new incubator and auto turner also.... I think I need another one. I have 25 eggs awaiting the incubator.....maybe it is time to fire up the old 100 egg Brower? lol
